Cordys Process Factory & MashApps®

What are MashApps®?

Cordys Process Factory enables business users to create, run, and manage On-Demand processes called MashApps® or Mashup Applications. A MashApps® is a process-centric Web application that is available On Demand. Users can combine capabilities from two or more existing systems to build a value added single MashApps®. Cordys Process Factory supports three types of mashups, namely data mashup, user interface mashup, and process mashup.

The MashApps® Development Process

The MashApps® development process starts with the online subscription to Cordys Process Factory. New mashup applications can be quickly and easily assembled from an existing repository of reusable mashup components (e.g. Process Library, external Web Services Repository, Widget Repository). The nontechnical business manager can drag and drop any UI widget (like Google Gadgets) and Web services from the web to quickly build and deploy Mashup applications. Integrations with third party applications, bothon-premise and on-demand systems, can be modeled without much dependency on the IT team. Sharing MashApps® between users or organizations is also made easy and convenient.

Why MashApps®?

To be competitive in today's global environment, enterprises should be able to anticipate and respond to changing business needs. Business Process Management (BPM) provides organizations with the right tools to continuously create, manage and adapt their business processes. However, BPM has long been seen as the privilege of large multinational organizations. That state of affairs is changing now. The BPM On-Demand technology from Cordys Process Factory has thrown open a new paradigm for running and managing enterprises of every shape and size.

Cordys Process Factory leverages the Software as a Service (SaaS) model and offers MashApps® and MashApps® Composer On Demand for anyone. Instead of buying expensive software licenses and supporting infrastructure, users from small enterprises can now access the processes and services they need at the time they need them and can also build and run their own business processes online making it cost effective and efficient. The MashApps® Composer is positioned for end-user development, which makes it possible for business users to create, modify and run process-centric MashApps® with rich business functionality.

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Why? Because even basic updates are meaningful to family members, friends, or colleagues—especially when they’re timely.

  1. Eating soup? Research shows that moms want to know.
  2. Running late to a meeting? Your co–workers might find that useful.
  3. Partying? Your friends may want to join you.

With Twitter, you can stay hyper–connected to your friends and always know what they’re doing. Or, you can stop following them any time. You can even set quiet times on Twitter so you’re not interrupted.

Twitter puts you in control and becomes a modern antidote to information overload.

12 Ways to Use Facebook Professionally

Speed up your blog on Blogger

The speed at which your blog loads is critical to attracting more readers to your blog. If your blog takes a long time to load, many readers may leave your blog before they have the chance to read it. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help your blog load faster and attract more users:

Posts

Your blog's load time can be affected by the number of posts you display on your main page. You can easily edit the number of posts displayed of the main page from the Settings | Formatting tab. You can then select the number of posts you want to display on the main page. Blogger recommends displaying 10 or fewer posts on the main page.

Third Party JavaScript and Links

For optimal blog load speed, Blogger recommends using Google/Blogger widgets, JavaScipt and links. However, if you need to use third party JavaScipt and links, your blog will load much faster if you put all JavaScript at the bottom of your blog. If you have third party JavaScript and links in your sidebar, put them in at the bottom of the sidebar.

Images and Media

The more images, videos and other multi-media you have on your blog the longer it will take to load. However, images and other multimedia are important to attracting users to your blog, so it is important to optimize the load speed of your images and media. Here are a few tips to increase the load speed of your media:

  1. Decrease the size of your images or use thumbnails that link to the full-size image.

  2. If you use third party images, consider uploading them to Picasa Web Albums via the Blogger post editor.

  3. If you have a large number of images to display, you can upload all your images (from a vacation or event) to a Picasa Web Album and link to the album in your post or sidebar.

Other suggestions

  1. If you've added any custom CSS to your blog, make sure you put it at the top of the page.

  2. The most important content of your blog that catches readers attention should load the quickest. To help you identify which items are taking the longest to load you can use Stopwatch. To use Stopwatch, enter your blog's URL into the text box and click "Start StopWatch". Stopwatch will then open your blog in a frame and will record the time it takes for everything on your blog to load, including images, videos, widgets, etc. Take note of the items that take the longest to load and modify them appropriately using our suggestions.

Create your Google Profile

Creating a profile gives you greater control over what people find when they search for your name on Google. Your profile can include online photos, links to your blog or other online profiles, and ways for people to contact you -- and you can restrict contact information like your address and phone number to only the people and groups you choose.

When creating a profile, you have the option to use your Gmail username as your profile URL (profiles.google.com/yourusername), so it's easier to remember and share.

An example: http://profiles.google.com/sumans84

If you want people to be able to contact you, but don't want to reveal your email address to the world, you can hide your username and use a 24 digit number instead. Turn on the 'Send a message' feature, and anyone with a Google Account can send you a message through your profile, without having your email address revealed to them.

Don't have a profile? Go to www.google.com/profiles to get started.
